Effect of Heat Starvation Stress on Physiological Immunity and Metabolism of Mizuhopecten yessoensis

Mizuhopecten yessoensis is an economical maricultural bivalve mollusk in China and Japan. Due to the high mortality rate, academics have paid more attention effects of environment recently. However, little known about physiological, immune, metabolic M. under starvation stress at temperatures. Herein, transcriptomic libraries hemolymph striated adductor muscle from feeding starved were constructed. The results showed that immune indexes decreased concentration blood cells liver lysozyme activity 15 d, fertility ACP 30 d stress, T-AOC BCA 45 stress. A total 853.85 M clean reads obtained 20 libraries, with average mapping ratio 83.38% reference genome. Genes encoding enzymes, including eno, pgk, gapA, tpiA, fbp, pgi, pgm gluconeogenesis pathway, down-regulated, which was indicative negative effect long-term gluconeogenesis. down-regulation PGD tktA pentose phosphate suggested carbohydrate decomposition utilization scallops. Together, findings demonstrated influences food deprivation metabolism other processes yessoensis. These provide foundational information for further understanding metabolism, especially scallops starvation, may potentially benefit healthy aquaculture.
